Why Massage?
Body lameness occurs long before we are usually able to see it. Tightness, whether it muscle tightness, fascial tightness, or joint restrictions can lead to compensatory patterns throughout the body. This often leads to restricted range of motion, poor or decreased performance, reactive behaviours, and eventual lameness presenting in the limbs.

Remember: Tight muscles are NOT supple muscles.
The number one effect of massage is improving circulation: we help remove built up toxins in the soft tissues and replace it with healthy, nutrient rich blood. Improving circulation assists in re-hydrating fascia to help keep it nice, soft, and supple.

Whether it be: maintenance, pain management, performance, or rehabilitative purposes, massage has significant benefits for our equine partners. We are able to reduce trigger points (knots), scar tissue formation, reduce tightness, assist with lymphatic drainage, improve/maintain range of motion, and improve performance.

With massage therapy, we DO NOT perform any form of joint manipulations. In Ontario, only Doctors of Veterinary Medicine and Doctors of Chiropractic are able to perform adjustments on your animals - Equine and Canine.
